Air Force One over Elliott Bay

President Obama visited Seattle today, arriving shortly before noon and leaving some four hours later. According to The Seattle Times, while in Seattle, he attended an exclusive fundraiser brunch at the lakeside home of Ann and Bruce Blume and then spoke at a larger fundraiser at the Paramount Theatre downtown. Bruce Blume is a local real estate developer.

The prevailing winds today were from the north, so we were unable to see Air Force One on final approach when it landed at Boeing Field late this morning. We had a birds-eye view, however, when the aircraft departed this afternoon and gradually gained altitude over Elliott Bay.

The President's next stop is Los Angeles, where he will attend another fundraiser this evening -- this one at the home of actor George Clooney.
